The (International English Language Testing System) is the most popular high-stakes English language proficiency test for study, work and migration around the globe. IELTS is developed by three big organization British Council, IDP Education & Cambridge Assessment English. In Regards of Nepal we have British Council & IDP Education to provide IELTS service. Both the organization provide services exclusively under the same guidelines set to operate IELTS test from the coaching to the exam system. There is no any difference in the system, a test taker can complete their courses and participate in any provider for final test.
The IELTS are recognized by more than 10,000 organizations, from educational institutions, Global Business houses, professional associations and governments, around 140 countries in the world.
IELTS offers the both the choices to take the test i.e. on computer and on paper based. IELTS can be taken Academic or General Training, depending on the individual requirement organization and your plans accordingly.
PTE stands for the Pearson Test of English. It is also known as PTE-A, Pearson Test of English Academic. PTE Academic is a computer-based academic English language test aimed at non-native English speakers wanting to study abroad. It tests Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The test length is 180 minutes in total. Its results are widely accepted by the Universities and Colleges throughout the globe.

With IELTS on computer, you can choose from multiple test dates (available up to 7 days a week and twice a day) and get your results in 5-7 days. When you opt for IELTS on paper, you can choose from 48 test dates available around the year and get results in 13 days. The test is generally held on Saturdays and Thursdays to provide flexibility and convenience to the IELTS Test seekers
However, the availability of the same may differ as per the test type and module you have opted for - Academic or General Training.

Hello everyone! My name is Ambika Yonjan and I decided to take PTE Academic because I am planning to try my luck abroad. Taking PTE was a delightful experience for me. At first, I was unsure whether I could make it or break it. Due to the nature of my work (Registered BSc. Nurse in a private hospital), I have not had much practice with conversational English as we often use the Nepali Language to communicate. I was really worried that I won't be able to do well in the speaking category.
